The Challenge
Nutanix, a leader in cloud infrastructure, required its Singapore office to serve a complex, dual mandate: function as a high-performance Regional Headquarters for a hybrid, diverse workforce AND operate as a strategic Customer Experience (CX) Center that immerses clients in the brand's technological leadership.
This dual purpose exposed critical limitations in traditional office design, leading to four interconnected challenges:
Client Immersion & Brand Identity: The need to move beyond a generic corporate aesthetic to create a "hero experience" that immediately communicates Nutanix's brand and technological sophistication to every client.
Operational Fluidity: The existing static space typology failed to support modern hybrid work, requiring a radical shift to accommodate needs ranging from deep focus engineering to spontaneous team collaboration.
Technology Integration: The requirement to deploy complex, advanced technology (interactive displays, VC, IoT) seamlessly, ensuring it enhances the experience without dominating the design or overwhelming users.
Future-Proofing & Optimization: The necessity of creating a workspace that could self-optimize using real-time data, ensuring the high investment evolved continuously rather than becoming quickly obsolete.

The Solution
The design solution rejected the conflict between functionality and experience. Instead, it deployed strategic systems based on experiential design and data-driven infrastructure to create a space that is both a high-efficiency operational hub and an immersive brand asset.
The Experiential Hero Journey (Addressing Challenge #1)
To immediately differentiate the brand and deliver a hospitality-caliber client experience (Challenge #6), the arrival sequence was designed as an intuitive, digital journey:
Self-Service Immersion: The check-in process begins with self-service digital kiosks, mirroring hospitality design principles. This immediately signals Nutanix's commitment to user-centric, frictionless technology while allowing staff to focus on personalized relationship-building rather than transactional tasks.
Digital Storytelling: Immersive digital displays, seamlessly integrated into architectural joinery, replace static signage. They deliver dynamic, personalized brand narratives and product showcases, turning the arrival sequence into an interactive communication tool that engages visitors before any formal meeting.
Intuitive Flow: Architectural cues, open sightlines, and curated transitions guide visitors naturally through the briefing centers, showcase areas, and client lounges, ensuring the journey is seamless and friction-free.
Data-Driven, Dynamic Space (Addressing Challenges #2 & #4)
To support operational fluidity for a hybrid workforce and ensure continuous optimization, the design involved a radical transformation validated by real-time data:
Space Typology Transformation: The office executed a radical diversification of its footprint, moving from a workstation-centric model to a dynamic environment with a 9X increase in flexible workspaces (reaching 38% of the total space). This created distinct, optimized zones for every work mode: acoustically-treated Focus Rooms for deep work, centralized Work Cafés for cross-functional collision points, and tech-enabled Formal Collaboration Spaces.
IoT for Continuous Optimization: IoT sensors were embedded as foundational infrastructure across every zone. This system captures real-time occupancy and utilization data, feeding it back into analytics dashboards. This ensures that space reconfigurations and resource allocations are data-driven, enabling the office to continuously evolve and self-optimize based on actual employee needs, guaranteeing the investment remains relevant.
Invisible Technology Infrastructure (Addressing Challenge #3 & Future-Proofing)
Technology was treated as an invisible enabler rather than an added element, ensuring a clean aesthetic while supporting highly advanced operations:
Seamless Integration: All complex technology—from state-of-the-art AV/VC systems to power, data, and IoT sensors—was embedded directly into architectural joinery and surfaces. This deliberate choice maintains clean, sophisticated aesthetics while delivering powerful functionality, demonstrating technological excellence without the clutter.
Digital Workplace App: A centralized application provides employees with frictionless digital experiences, allowing for one-tap desk and meeting room reservations, real-time occupancy visualization, and social coordination features.
Modular and Scalable Design: The physical structure uses modular partitioning systems and scalable infrastructure (power/data) that supports growth and allows for major reconfigurations based on data analysis, securing the office as a future-proof asset (Challenge #7).
