The Challenge
When IMC Trading, a proprietary trading firm and market maker headquartered in Amsterdam, one of Europe’s top financial centres, entered the Indian market in 2021, it did so with the confidence of a global leader and the energy of a start-up. What followed was exponential growth, faster than anticipated, and bold in its impact.
In just a short time, IMC outgrew its initial premises. But this wasn’t just a space constraint. It signalled a deeper, strategic need. How could IMC create a workplace that not only accommodated growth but also amplified its culture and reflected its global purpose, particularly as it expanded its presence across the APAC region?
The challenge was multi-dimensional. The new space needed to inspire innovation, promote well-being, and unify cross-cultural teams. Most importantly, it had to serve as a cultural cornerstone, a physical expression of everything IMC stood for: excellence, energy, community, and clarity.

The Solution
This was not just a workplace design project, it was a mission to align space with strategy. Every square foot was crafted as a platform for human connection and high performance. From arrival to breakout zones, the design was intentional, immersive, and aligned to IMC’s global ethos.
1. Arrival: More Than a First Impression, A Lasting Identity
The arrival area offers a dynamic transition from the city to the organisation. An ombre blue backdrop and sculptural IMC logo grille, abstracted from a trading algorithm, anchor the brand’s identity in precision and innovation. Guests and employees are welcomed into a layered spatial experience: casual lounge seating, quiet pods, and a vibrant coffee/chai bar bring warmth and approachability. A digital wall streams real-time IMC content, transforming the space into a live storytelling zone. Framed by biophilic clusters and expansive Arabian Sea views, this zone sets the tone for a workplace deeply connected to purpose and place.

The boardroom reflects IMC’s strategic mindset. Acoustically enhanced and fully tech-enabled, it comfortably seats 16 and is designed for high-impact discussions. A sculptural central table, minimalist lighting, and curated biophilic elements balance seriousness with warmth, underscoring the company’s commitment to thoughtful leadership and open dialogue.
